Piano Lessons in Tain with Melanie

Piano Lessons in Tain with Melanie
I am an encouraging and fun person to work with and make sure that structure is always present during lessons. The learning and well-being of every student is important to me. The student needs to learn at their own pace, in order for them to achieve a good understanding of the Musical Language.
I hold a DBS document and am a member of the Musicians Union.
Lessons available in Piano and Strings.
In addition to playing the instrument, I get the student involved in musical activities, which support the development of their instrumental playing:
- During lessons we do some Solfa singing (doh, re, mi, fa, etc), as this develops the student's "inner hearing", musical memory, reading skills, performance presence, musicality, playing with more ease, and overall discipline.
- I also enjoy involving the student in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, which is moving to music played to them. This supports their handling of pulse and rhythm when playing the instrument.
At the moment I am mobile in/near Tain (Ross-shire), and teach online too. Please get in touch!  07906 614526
