Hi All
Just bought my daughter her first piano so she can continue her learning journey. It’s a Yamaha YDP 131 and whilst I know these are ‘beginner’ pianos, to me (and her) it’s a thing of great beauty!
Anyway, since I picked it up second hand, it would be nice to know it’s age. Various sites have a search engine in which you enter the serial number, but all say mine isn’t recognised. Can anyone help me?

Wikipedia has a list of Yamaha corporation products from which it looks like the YDP 131 was first made available in 2005. The only dated serial numbers that I can access are for acoustic pianos and not digital.

Manufacturers do not publish dates for electronic pianos as they only tend to support spare parts for seven years.
If you want more information, you could contact Yamaha at Milton Keynes. They may be able to cross-reference the serial number. They keep a list of numbers for warranty purposes.
