1842 Broadwood grand

Post by Bill Kibby »

I am going to see an 1842 Broadwood grand with 82 notes C-A, and the owner is having trouble finding a buyer because of its age. She has been told it is worth a few thousand pounds, so we must assume that it has been restored, and would probably not interest a restorer. If anyone is interested, or can suggest a possible new home for it, please contact me another day for further details.
P.S. It was restored in 1905, and although it is playable, there are loose wrestpins. Even if it was new in 1905, I doubt if it is worth much, but it is a smart looking, worthwhile antique instrument, ideal for a museum.
