hey

Does anyone know what the exact frequencys are of a octave incorperating 440Hz as middle A? from C wichi i believe is 256Hz?

For the theoretical pitches you just half to go down and double to go up...

Middle A is 220 A above is 440 and double octave above that would be 880. Middle C is 261.3 for a full list see

The semitone multiplier is the number by which you multiply the original pitch to get the next note up; ie 440 x 1.0594632 (if I remember the dim and distant days of college!) gives you the pitch of A#. And if you divide it by 1.0594632 you get the pitch of G#.
But I'd check the multiplier; don't take the word of a woman who was thrown out of the bottom of the bottom division for maths... :roll:
