Yamaha U3 high notes

Post by Peter Finney »

I've recently bought a new U3 and just noticed that the top octave and a half or so do not dampen automatically when the keys are relaeased. Is there a reason why these are notes are designed differently, or is something wrong?

The sustain (time the sound lingers on) on the higher frequences is much shorter than the lower notes. The most dampers the average piano will have is 65. there is no need to dampen them.
