Most Chinese manufacturers use names that used to be made somewhere else. It's just a name that usually has no ties whatsoever with the original company. The brand therefore carries no promise of quality. Currently, Chinese and Indonesian piano factories are being used to produce the world's cheapes...

Modern Chinese piano manufacturing companies snap up the old names to give the impression of history to their pianos. Some Chinese pianos are probably OK for the price. If you have a piano with an overdamped action you probably shouldn't invest too much cash in it unless it has sentimental value to you.

It's PROBABLY a pile of junk but if you could upload some photos showing the inside and outside of the piano then some of us will be willing to offer our opinion on this. Don't spend a penny before doing this as pianos for sale at £100 are usually considerably over-priced.

You could keep the existing piano and then buy an extra piano to be used as a piano. Whatever you do, don't put it on the landfill!!

I find that a high percentage of customers DO care about resale value as it is a question that I get asked often. Yamaha does win on that count because they are in much higher demand so it is easier to get a quick sale for a good price. Ideally though you should be doing what MDW has suggested and b...

Barrie is correct that dealers won't touch this.
I would charge to take it away.
If you can give it away to a friend you will have done well.
Or you might get £20-£50 for it on ebay if you present it well enough.
