Marina is an award-winning classical pianist, experienced piano educator and lecturer, specialising in preventing occupational injuries in keyboard players and promoting various piano and other techniques to help the performer.  Her piano teaching methods are based on concentrating in solving the most difficult problems in piano playing as well as working on power of mind. 

She has over 30 years of experience in teaching junior and adult pianists, from beginners to highly advanced music professionals. Marina's students have a very high passing rate of various piano examinations in the UK, including LRSM and FRSM diplomas, and they perform regularly, often at piano competitions, with many of them winning awards and prizes. As a classically trained pianist, Marina has given over 300 piano performances across the UK and Eastern Europe.

Marina has been running the London-based competition Around the Globe Piano Music Festival since 2014.

 Couldn't have passed my diploma without her!, 21-09-2019 09:24AM

Marina has managed to get me up to the level of being able to pass the Trinity College first level diploma (the ATCL) as a non-professional pianist. I have been studying with her for nine years; I am a computer programmer by trade and returned to the piano as an adult student many years after childhood piano lessons. We are working on a second level (LTCL) diploma programme now; one thing that deserves special mention is that I have small hands, and Marina has advanced my technique to the point where I am able to learn pieces with many octaves (for example, the Chopin Polonaise Op. 53) without damaging my hands.

Additionally, I observe that Marina is able to adapt her approach to be able to teach different levels of students. Her studio includes children, adult beginners, and serious piano students like myself.

Ludwig van Beethoven
Was baptised on 17 December 1770 he was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. His best-known compositions include 9 symphonies, 5 concertos for piano, 32 piano sonatas, and 16 string quartets. He also composed other chamber music, choral works and songs.

Born in Bonn, then the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and part of the Holy Roman Empire, Beethoven displayed his musical talents at an early age and was taught by his father Johann van Beethoven and Christian Gottlob Neefe. During his first 22 years in Bonn, Beethoven intended to study with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and befriended Joseph Haydn. Beethoven moved to Vienna in 1792 and began studying with Haydn, quickly gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He lived in Vienna until his death. In about 1800 his hearing began to deteriorate, and by the last decade of his life he was almost totally deaf. He gave up conducting and performing in public but continued to compose; many of his most admired works come from this period. in February 1818 Beethoven acepted a piano from Broodwoods England he worte
