I have lots of experiences in concerts, competitions and piano accompaniment. During my studies at RCS I have won several major competitions and have been the recipient of Scholarship every year. 

B i o g r a p h y

Anna Yang comes from Canton, south of China and started playing  the piano at the age of three. She came to the UK in 2000, studied at The Mary Erskine School, Edinburgh for three years, and then at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Glasgow. She gained a first class honour in Bachelor of Music degree in performance in 2007, and in 2009 she graduated with Master in Music also in performance.

 

At the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Anna studied with Britain’s renowned teacher Philip Jenkins, and then with concert pianist Jonathan Plowright. She was very active in performing, both as soloist and chamber musician. During her studies at the RCS she also worked a lot with singers, and had many opportunities to perform in and out of RCS. Anna’s studies at the RCS were supported by: RCS Trust, Else and Leonard Cross Memorial Trust, MBF Music Education Awards and Yamaha Education UK. She also took part in musical activities outside, including a solo piano recital at the Edinburgh Festival in August 2010, and a piano recital at the Steinway Hall in London in April 2011.  

Anna moved to London from Scotland in January 2012 and is now working both as a pianist for ballet and a piano teacher.

Ludwig van Beethoven
Was baptised on 17 December 1770 he was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. His best-known compositions include 9 symphonies, 5 concertos for piano, 32 piano sonatas, and 16 string quartets. He also composed other chamber music, choral works and songs.

Born in Bonn, then the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and part of the Holy Roman Empire, Beethoven displayed his musical talents at an early age and was taught by his father Johann van Beethoven and Christian Gottlob Neefe. During his first 22 years in Bonn, Beethoven intended to study with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and befriended Joseph Haydn. Beethoven moved to Vienna in 1792 and began studying with Haydn, quickly gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He lived in Vienna until his death. In about 1800 his hearing began to deteriorate, and by the last decade of his life he was almost totally deaf. He gave up conducting and performing in public but continued to compose; many of his most admired works come from this period. in February 1818 Beethoven acepted a piano from Broodwoods England he worte
