ABOUT

Alex is an experienced music professional offering tuition in piano and music theory for all age ranges, with tuition available to both beginners and more experienced students. Lessons are conducted from his home in Birdwell, Barnsley. Online tuition over Skype or Zoom is also available. Sessions are tailored to individual requirements, with an aim to provide the highest quality of musical education, while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere. Alex is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate. 

Along with this Alex works as a professional composer and music producer, is technical director of Music Matters and also offers lessons in composition, music production, synthesis and sound design.Along with this Alex works as a professional music producer and composer, is technical director of Music Matters and also offers lessons in, music production, synthesis and sound design. He has released tracks on a number of leading dance music labels and produced remixes for the likes of Above & Beyond and Max Graham. His productions receive regular airplay around the world and have attracted support from renowned artists such as Aly & Fila and Judge Jules.

Rates: £60.00 per hour / £30.00 per 30 minutes.

Availability: Lessons are available any time from 9am to 8pm on both Weekdays & Weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

BA (Hons) Music Technology, DipABRSM in Piano Performance, ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Practical, ABRSM Grade 5 Theory, A-Level Music, A-Level Music Technology, GCSE Music

Ludwig van Beethoven
Was baptised on 17 December 1770 he was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. His best-known compositions include 9 symphonies, 5 concertos for piano, 32 piano sonatas, and 16 string quartets. He also composed other chamber music, choral works and songs.

Born in Bonn, then the capital of the Electorate of Cologne and part of the Holy Roman Empire, Beethoven displayed his musical talents at an early age and was taught by his father Johann van Beethoven and Christian Gottlob Neefe. During his first 22 years in Bonn, Beethoven intended to study with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and befriended Joseph Haydn. Beethoven moved to Vienna in 1792 and began studying with Haydn, quickly gaining a reputation as a virtuoso pianist. He lived in Vienna until his death. In about 1800 his hearing began to deteriorate, and by the last decade of his life he was almost totally deaf. He gave up conducting and performing in public but continued to compose; many of his most admired works come from this period. in February 1818 Beethoven acepted a piano from Broodwoods England he worte
