souutag and company piano

Post by dsamples »

my sister has a piano made by souutag and company. it was made in london. i can not find anything on this company. it is an upright piano made of burl walnut. i can not find a date. inside the top right hand corner is a number, 11347. is this possibly the date and what would it be? the piano is so old the hammers are breaking off. she wants to sell it. do you know anything about this piano?

the fonte used on the piano is hard to make out. i'm pretty sure it is souutag. i wasn't really sure if the letters were o's or u's.

Sonntag?

The nearest I can find is several foreign firms called Sonntag, but I haven't found a London one yet. I'll let you now if I can find any. See
