William Frederick Smith

Post by Bill Kibby »

This particular one of the many Smiths claims to have been established in 1840, and was listed in directories from about 1855 to 1897, judging by directory entries, and may be the same William Smith who was earlier listed at 1, The Oval, Regents Park, for whom we have a copy of an indenture for one of his apprentices, but little to report on the pianos, although I've tuned a few. They were fairly ordinary, and still made with that name into the 1920s.
