Brooklyn Piano Co: C. Thurnam & Sons - History/Age?

Hi there,

I just acquired a beautiful upright. The stamps read:

Brooklyn Piano Co.
Trade Mark.
London.
Sole Agents For Carlisle.
C. Thurnam & Sons.

Registered Design
Rd. No. 239591

It needs minor repairs (damaged in transit) but overall is in great condition and I'm so elated. It's our first piano.

I wanted to know more about it so have tried looking it up, but I am not having much luck with learning more about its history and potential age.

I know it was restored at one point (including a picture for the compant that did that also, in case it helps).

I'm hoping someone here might be familiar with the makers and can tell me a little bit about my new piano.

I've attached pictures to help - forgive the lack of baseboards, we're in the middle of renovating.

I've seen other posts pop up and get replies but not mine... Really hoping someone can help me learn more about my piano. A Google search really didn't help. I can find information on one name or the other, but not the 2 together.

The first name is the make of the piano, and the second name is the name of the shop that sold it originally, so you're only interested in the first name.

Brooklyn Piano Co. London, which was established circa 1890, was eventually bought out by Stroud Pianos in Gloucester.
