I'm glad there's a teaching forum

Post by mozart453 »

I just arrived here at the UK forum, and didn't realize there was a specially designated teaching area, so I just introduced myself in another part of the site. Teaching is my passion beside performing, recording and writing and I love to share thoughts, ideas in this universe etc. A few months ago I started blogging about my life as a pianist, teacher, etc and it ended up as a repository for instruction, sample lessons, some performances, writings about piano finding, and God knows what else. http://arioso7.wordpress.com

In any event the last two posts are lessons in progress with a technical dimension. And ironically, a few days ago I added a story about a Knight piano (British made) that brought me to tears each time I read it because of the soap opera surrounding it.

I formally introduced myself, as mentioned, on another part of the board. But just to repeat. I live in Fresno, but commute to the Bay area where I have a second piano studio. Born and raised in NYC, I attended the NYC HS of Performing Arts, where I met Murray Perahia, classmate, and profound musical influence. Then I graduated the Oberlin Conservatory and received a Master's from NYU.
