there is no codes for any piano finish. Just pick a colour. An off white is better.Just go to the paint suppliers and ask to see a colour sample. Or go to Halfords and look at the spray cans. Personaly I would not use 2pk, bartop lac is better as its easy to use and applie more coats, you can also p...

I think only you can answer that one, which one do you like? The Yamaha and Kawai have different tone and touch with the Kawai being slightly more mellow. In terms of quality, they are all good.

Kawai pianos have 5 years parts & labour ( onsite) and a further 5 years parts if you fill in the warranty card.
Try and buy local, you will benfit in the end.

The guns shouldnt be that oily as it will attract dust etc. You only need the surface of the barrels to have a wipe with an oil cloth.I also find having a small bag of silcon( you get them in new pianos) in the cabinet helps to keep the moisture away, especialy in summer.

Re: Requested retune, checks & adjustments but just got a tuning
To the dealers: how would you react if one of your tuners sprayed WD40 into a customer's piano ... especially a top-of-the-range upright? I would not be very happy, but I tune all of my customers pianos unless they are very far away. The only time I use wd-40 is on nasty straight strung 1900's which ...

WD40 The action of mineral oils on timber is well known amongst gunsmiths - excess oil soaks into the timber and degrades it to the extent that shotgun stocks can actually snap or crumble where soaked with oil (NB for any of you who shoot - always store your guns barrels pointing down so that oil c...

I am very sorry to hear that Newage did not get the work as requested. Firstly, I would expect a tuning to last at least 1 hour+ but if its in good tuning order anyway then there might not be much to do except tidy the unisons. I don't use wd40 as it is an oil which will contaminate wood. Protek MPL...

The traditional methods are half a lemon, soda cristals with warm water applied with a rag or damp cloth & vineger. More modern methods are T-cut, burnishing cream or the key bright which Barry has mentioned. Stay away from bleech as it is not user friendly. The best method is to get your local ...

Always best to start with the removal all panels. This will eliminate that area. Then it is a case of getting someone to play the note hard repeatedly while you hunt for it. Its a pain to do a tuner is used to it.

Yes, check the bass strings as cheap pianos tend to save money on quality bass strings which go dull quicker than the norm. I would go for the Young Chang as 121 from 110 is a big differance. Bigger richer sound. This is due to longer strings and larger soundboard area. Good luck

The small Boyd-London pianos from the 60's+ are nice pianos and mostly are 6 octave. The one you have sounds like a very old striaghtstrung overdamper which might need to be retired.
