Knauss date
Post by christopherbuxton »
Hello, I've recently acquired a Knauss upright. The dealer who sold it suggested it is c1895, which I think maybe incorrect. The dealer concerned sells mostly modern pianos and may not be familiar with antique ones. I think the serial number is 9742. Based on what I've seen on pianohistory.info and looking at various other uprights, I believe it dates to around 1910-1914. Anyone any thoughts?
