Advice Before Buying a Used Piano

Post by ramiroelliot »

Just got my own place, and so I'm finally in a situation where I can have an acoustic piano (though not anything too big). Grew up playing and would like to be able to practice regularly again.

I saw this post, would only have to pay for moving the piano. (I don't know for how much yet.) Even though I grew up playing I don't know very much about telling how worn a piano looks or anything. Is there anything concerning in any of these photos?

There's an (undated) video and it seems to sound okay, though of course I would try out the piano before finalizing the transaction. I had a Kohler & Campbell growing up which I was quite fond of so I don't mind that it's not a big name brand. Just want to know if there are any immediate issues or things I should look out for; otherwise I'll just continue to search and save my money for something nicer.
