Great American songbook for beginners

Post by bart »

I am aware of lots of books with simplified classical pieces for beginners. I really like these.
However, I do not know any good simplified editions of the early 20th century songs - think "Great American songbook" stuff. Does anybody know?
Thanks,

Bart

Don't know what a great american songbook is, but there's a book called 'Tunes You've Always Wanted To Play', and I think one of the followup volumes had something similar. I'd go to your local music shop and ask; the people there are usually very knowledgeable about what's available. Alternatively you could go to www.musicroom.com and look. They have a useful thing where you can look at the contents of the book - but not on all books.
I play for my own amazement... :piano;
