Franz Oaser keyboard section

Post by alandav123 »

Hi all, I have an almost complete set of keys/keyboard slide out section part from a victorian baby grand made by franz oaser.

Most hammers are perfect but maybe 4 are broken, I dont know anything about these but someone told me that if the key has a slit halfway along it the front part has ivory on it.
If this is the case, is there a value on this keyboard or is it no good to anyone, I have no use for it and its taking up space.

It seems a crime to chuck something as well made as this.

Can you tell me the width (accurate) and length of the white keytop front sections, and the length of the back section. I have a keyboard which needs some spares. Also, how many white keys are there? If the keytops are ivory they will have a grain if you look closely.

Any chance of a close up of one of them?

Thanks

To Pianomate, please reply to my offer to send a key to you even if the reply is they are worthless. The whole thing is just sitting and SWMBO is cracking up.
