KAWAI K30 OR YAMAHA U1?

Post by Des »

Can anyone please:

(i) Compare and contrast Kawai K30 with the Yamaha U1;
(ii) Tell me whether you think &3500 is good value for a new (black) Kawai K30 from a reputable piano shop.

Thanks.

People tend to recognise the Yamaha name more so than the Kawai name, so the Yamaha equivelent is usually more expensive than the Kawai.

Realisticly in terms of quality there's not much to compare, both pianos are of good quality so its really a case of what you personally prefer.

I would say the Kawai is a better sounding piano, though its up to you to compare side by side,I compared a Kawai K60E vs Yamaha U3, I'd go for the K60 if you want a Japanese piano

they have an 18 month old K60E at Horsham Piano Centre going for &3995 I think

But what about the price - 3500 pounds? Is this reasonable?

Thanks
