Do you think this lecture will be more about ivory than timber?

It will cover both because there are quite a few woods now on the restricted list.
That's the bit that interests me because I'm clued up on ivory

The only wood you've got to worry about is Brazilian rosewood; then you need a certificate failure to have a certificate when you sell it. it will be a £25,000 fine.

If it's solid Ivory, you can't sell it in the UK. Pianos, come onto the 10% rule you need a certificate if you selling a piano with Ivory pre-1975 if it has Ivory after 1975, you cannot sell the piano in the UK unless you remove the ivory.

The interesting one is venues that charge entrance fees for playing the piano or a concert or piano hire if it has ivory, they have to register it. its £20.00

you can apply for an exemption certificate to deal in pre-1918 outstandingly high artistic, cultural or historical value items good luck with that one.
