piano problem

Post by rhys »

Hi there

Is there anyone who could have a look at the attached video and email back to say why the jack spring sticks on returning the key to its natural position.
(I have pressed the key to the left to see what's hoing on).

Does the jack spring need replacing, or is it that the pin in the jack flange is too tight (or both) ?

As you can imagine, there's a horrible clicking noise from time to time when playing this piano (only around 2 or 3 key seem affected).

Any help appreciated.

thanks

The clicking sound is possibly glue on the cushion felt or a missing cushion felt or the Centre pin has moved out and is catching the next note that could cause the sluggishness as well.

ProTech on the centre pain should solve the sluggish note if the centre pin has not come halfway out.

BTW piano needs tuning
