Advice on Mignon piano

Post by mel82 »

Hi from Australia. I am looking at getting a ‘free’ giveaway piano. Can anyone see any major issues from these photos. I have seen it in person and it seems to play ok apart from some notes that are definitely out of tune. But I don’t want to pay the $500 for removal and tuning costs to find out it can’t be tuned. Thanks

It's very difficult to detect major faults on a piano just by Photos.

Your best bet is to pay a piano tuner to look at the piano first.
As a piano that age and in your country could have lots of issues with the bridges the soundboard and the action.
