Pohlmann and Sons Upright Piano?

Post by asienka_ms »

Can anyone advise? House I am buying may come with 1920-1930’s Pohlmann and Sons piano serial number 52366 and I need to make an offer. Whilst I found history info about the makers there is little about how good the quality of their piano is and numbers to date them? The few traces of sales on gumtree (notably private sales) were 300-400 and a known dealer I contacted never heard of them and suggested there is little value in them perhaps 100-200. Does anyone know anything about them?

Trade will ask you for money to take it away

Get a tuner in to see if the piano is OK or find out from the seller who tuned it last and when it was tuned

if they know the tuners name give them a ring and ask the tuner what is the condition of the piano like
