Looking for cabinet Piano or old upright

Post by markhilton »

Hi, I'm looking for a historical cabinet piano (could be for restoration) from 1830 - 18405 or an upright. Any suggestion? Thanks!

It's the sort of thing that, if it came my way, I would grab, so I wouldn't be any help to you. Unrestored pianos that old have very little cash value, only historical value, and most would require major repinning and restringing, not a job for DIY.
Having it professionally restored would cost thousands, and the end result would not always justify the cost.
Of course, transport is another cost, and you don't say where you are in the world.
