Knauss - how old is my new piano?

Post by DY5L3X1C »

Hello all,

I just bought a piano two days ago and I have been wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about it. Its a : Knauss - Königl. u. Grossherzogl. Hoflieferanten Coblenz.

When you open the top of the piano there are 2 numbers on either side of the top of the that read 760.

Thanks in advance

Serial numbers are usually at least 5 digits.
I f your tuner thinks it is safe to pull out the action, it should be marked on the back with the action makers' name and number, and I may be able to date this.
