Parker Piano Co
Post by bialamiska »
Hi
I just received this piano and wanted to ask if any of you would be able to say how old it is.
https://imgur.com/a/u7mR9TD
I found the company on this website:
http://www.lieveverbeeck.eu/Pianoforte- ... land_p.htm
but it doesn't list the address of a shop on my piano
Additional on the piano it says "supplied by Parker Piano Co" so I'm thinking that
maybe it wasn't necessary made by them but only imported as they also imported pianos.
Let me know if you have any clues or if you need more photos and thank you for your help.

You mention "more photos" but you haven't shown us any yet. Parker is a very common surname, so it is not surprising that there have been a number of piano firms with the name, but most of these were retailers, not true makers. They include...
PARKER & Co. at BISHOPSGATE
PARKER & Co. at EDGEWARE ROAD
PARKER & Co., LONDON
PARKER & SMITH at Bedford Street
PARKER & SMITH, Plymouth
PARKER (A.C.) London
PARKER (G.A.) London
PARKER (James) USA
PARKER (Joseph) Essex
PARKER (Robert) London
PARKER (Thomas)
PARKER PIANO Co., LONDON
PARKER PIANO Co., VIRGINIA, USA
PARKER, LONDON
My Names page...

explains that many piano names are meaningless.
