George Rogers & Son

I would like to obtain some information on a piano. the serial number I think is 3181(located on top of piano on the side) I received it from my moms estate(in South Africa) and would like some history. Is it possible to help or direct me? Piano George Rogers & Sons London

What sort of piano is this? The Numbers page at pianohistory.info explains that dating pianos purely on the basis of numbers is often not as simple as it seems, and most pianos have several numbers inside. The name doesn't tell us anything about the individual piano, but it suggests a date after 1870, when the main serial number is likely to have 5 or 6 digits.

I might be able to tell you more if you could post photos here to show what the whole piano looks like on the outside.

It looks like something from the late twenties, but I can't be precise. You should find a number approaching 40,000. Have a look at
