By 1946, the first 2 digits of Welmar numbers represent the year, so #57524 would be 1957. See

I am not aware of any archives that would give any other information about individual Welmar pianos.

Pianos often have lots of numbers inside, and although they would have meant something to the makers, key makers, action makers etc., no information survives to interpret them. Often the last 3 digits are imprinted on the removable parts, but this is not 3 digits, and not the last digits of the main number either, unless there is another large number ending in 68 or 89.
