W.H. Barnes Mini Piano

Post by alrago »

Hello all,

I’m seeking some further information on a W.H. Barnes mini piano from the 1930s. The piano is marked on the underside Eavestaff. I was wondering if that was the maker and W.H. Barnes was the retailer. Any insights?

Thanks in advance for your knowledge!

Yes, these things are often more complicated than they seem. Barnes was the retailer, Eavestaff was the maker's name, although the factory was actually Brasted! The original 1934 Minipiano was made by Brasted under the Eavestaff name, and some information may be found about three-quarters of the way down the page at
