Shipping to UK from USA

Am looking into shipping a B2/3 from USA to UK. Has anyone ever done something like this? What does it cost?

We ship to the US a lot and we import form the US when we import the folk at the other end handle shipping manly UPS

I came across that company before and they seem really comprehensive. It's the import tax at customs that concerns me and getting to the right department at UK Customs has proven to be more difficult than I'd care to go into?

The wife imports a lot of stuff the VAT will get in touch with you or you pay the money to the postman But its the way they calculate it is mean

So you are buying something for £1000.00 + £40.00 shipping They then add 20%vat to your 1040.00 then they workout the import tax on the 1248.00 we will say it come to £50.00 depending on the tariff so your bill is £514.16
