Chas and Dave doing a wartime singalong is an over the hill-ness inducement - but the original versions from the 40s have no effect.

And of course, We're In The Money soon lead to this.....

Hello DB! Junior got stalled a bit with us moving house/schools etc but she's right back on target now and booked in for grade 3 this spring, we haven't been given the actual date yet. I can't keep up with her so I'm back on the violin and loving it whilst helping her learn the theory stuff.dave brum wrote:Hello Nutty, nice to see you on here again. Sounds like Nutty Junior is doing well with her piano lessons, what grade is she on now??
Thanks to some selective googling (Marmite ad music) I found out the title of the song, it's called Low Rider by a band called War. After all these years of being darkened....dave brum wrote:I wish Google could recognise musical pitch as it does the human voice. There's this tune that was going the rounds in the 70s, it may have charted and I hear it from time to time. It sounds like the Average White or Climax Blues band funky white Philly soul sort of thing and I've even heard it on a Marmite advert. There is this catchy riff in there that goes: (all staccato except for the final 2 notes)
E E E E E F G, C E F E C (x2)
Bb Bb Bb Bb (pause) Bb Bb Bb Bb (pause) Bb C.
I have no idea what the song is called or by whom it is recorded, has anyone heard of it???
