Hi, I joined this forum a while ago and have been reading and contributing occasionally. I don't believe that I've offended anyone or broken any rules. However my account got deleted over the last day or so meaning that when I tried to log in it said your username does not exist. I think that, as I have now registered again and kept the original user name it must be the case that it had been completely deleted or I don't think I'd get the same exact user name again.

If for any reason I was deliberately kicked off here it would be nice to know why?. If someone here does not want me using this forum just say so and I'll keep off here as I can't be doing with being somewhere I am not welcome.

I suspect it's an error of some kind.

No, you have done nothing wrong it was me. I was making some updates and annual clean up of the site. Also, I changed spam questions part of this is deleting inactive users but I set the date and number of posts wrong so users from Jan this year were removed but the post will have stayed

Thanks Barrie, glad it was an admin issue and not something to do with my posts. I'm perfectly happy to stick with the new login I created so no problem.

I like using this forum although it is quieter than I anticipated considering how many people are passionate about pianos.

Very informative posts from which I've learned a lot since joining.

Forums, on the whole, are in decline some are doing better than others. It uses to be newsgroups rec.music.makers.piano was a good one in the 90s who use them now! then in the 00's it was Forums now its Facebook and next... !

This site took a big hit in 2016 when we had a major hack and Google dropped us like a brick we are just getting back in the SE but not in the prominent place we use to hold

That was my job. However with my lifelong interest in furniture making and woodworking in general I now realise I could have been equally happy in the piano trade.

I have quite a few clients who work in the Nuclear industry I met a very interesting Man who was the train driver that ran from down south to the processing plant, one of the few civilians that are allowed to carry a handgun in the UK when working.
