Baffling

Regular viewers may remember that when I joined the forum in 2007 I was in a state of barely-controlled hysteria over a buzzing B-natural (the first one above middle C) on a Yam C7 in our school hall. Since then the piano's had a lot of attention from some excellent technicians and the buzzing prett...

160,000 inhabitants? You're havin' a laff; there's just over 60,000 of us clinging to this rock and even that's pretty snug. There are a few tuners over here, but I would rather get someone across from the mainland for this job. I'm expecting the thing to fall apart like a clown's car when it's fina...

I need a tech

My C3 has been on its side in storage since mid-December whilst my new house is being made ready. The time has come for it to be put back on its legs and I would like a good technician to come and give it a service and tuning to check that everything has survived the storage and is in good order. As...

Goddammit - everyone's going Brodmann-mad on this forum! And now I find they even come with their own go-faster stripes. I'm trying to stay faithful to my C3 but it's so hard when those Brodmanns are so lovey and shiny and name-on-the-sidey :piano;

Yeah, I think good preparation is the key. I found my Yam C3 too bright for the room it's in, but since it's been thoroughly voiced it's really beautiful. Without some professional TLC they are too bright for me. They're such good value for money, given that the tone is easily modified to suit your ...

At the very least if he asks for a cup of tea I'd reply that I'd be delighted to offer him one, provided that he supplies a tea bag, a mug, some boiling water, milk and sugar,mixes them together, rinses the cup afterwards and puts it back in the cupboard, thanks awfully.

I found this just now: http://www.pianodecals.com/store/product.php?productid=4393&cat=100&page=1 It seems to be what I was looking for. Surely Yamaha wouldn't have an issue with applying the logo to one of their own pianos? If anything it's free advertising for them. I'm surprised they don'...

Right, I know this is completely trivial and nothing more than the equivalent of 'go-faster stripes' on cars, BUT.... you know the Yamaha tuning forks logo that they put on the side of the CFIII? Blimey O'Reilly - a new format. I think it's better than the old one, which is saying something coming from a conservative old git like me. The new smilies are good too; the pianist appears to be playing some Michael Nyman.

I can't bear hearing my voice on tape. I like to think I have a warm, manly baritone speaking voice but whenever I hear it played back I sound less like James Mason and more like Graham Norton on helium; a most unsettling experience.
