Had a 'hymn' today called 'All I Once Held Dear' - modern thing. Well, if the second half of it isn't a very close relation to 'The Ugly Duckling', I'll eat my hat. I was well behaved and didn't launch into 'With a quack, with a quack, with a waddle and a quack...' but it took a lot of self control.

Shut up, you'll be fine. And re the music (?) at work - you could well find you're one of the only people who LISTENS to it...I think it trickles in one earole and out of the other for most people, but you being a muso actually hear it properly as music as opposed to background mush.

I don't know why I say yes when there are accompaniment requests; I get so twitched, usually about one of the pieces then I fall apart OR worry about falling apart, so it's not enjoyable. Not bothered about playing the organ, except at weddings.

You don't have to play in front of anyone. As an old friend of mine used to say, 'I play for my own amazement'.
You'll be fine - but do tell her if you don't want to do sigh treading, so it doesn't spoil the rest of it for you.

The Classics to Moderns series is a good one. The Associated Board do a series called 'Upgrade' which is designed to slot between the grade exams but I don't think they are classics. If Colin (Nicholson) reads this he'll be more use than me as he teaches. You could always PM him.

And what's more nobody a) noticed, or b) died. So now I do the same and, as you say, lower stress levels...
