I got them worried at Dibley today; turned up at a service where I wasn't playing! I think they thought there might be a knife fight...but I was there to meet a gride and broom to see what music they wanted.

Shut up whingeing ; play when you feel like it, don't if you don't! You're doing it for fun, so if you feel anxious or that you're not enjoying it, go and do something else to break the cycle that leads to disliking it.

Your mum must have been more au fait with artists than I was - I never knew Bill Withers was black until a few years ago. Not that I cared either; I like his music but 'Lovely Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay' has me reaching for my inhaler!

Re: George Rogers Baby Grand Piano

As it says at the top of the page, it's impossible to evaluate a piano without seeing it. Rogers were a good make and baby grands sell more easily than the bigger ones. Get a tuner/tech in to sort the sticking notes and to tune it, and s/he will be able to give you a fair idea of value for the area ...

I rate the newer Zimmermann uprights - worth having a look. Taken over by Bechstein in 1992. I've never tuned a bad one - but some of the dealers here will probably know more than I do. Don't bother with the Cold War ones - just the post Bechstein takeover models.

The drummer has his hat on backwards and it's a fact that all intelligence drains from the head when that happens. The chap at the back looks like a twelve year old with a Brian Blessed stick-on beard...but the song is quite jolly.
