What you are feeling is the hammer action coming into play. This is quite normal on the P95. Similarly, there is a slight rebound when you press a key and let go quickly - I've just tried one we have in the workshop here.

Your suggested set-up should be ok. Your piano will sound dodgy if you go through a guitar amp, they are not designed to give you a clean, full range sound, which is what you need for keyboards/DPs.

Incidentally, "piano" doesn't mean soft, and "forte" doesn't mean loud! Just to clarify, in music notation: Piano p - Soft Pianissimo pp - Very soft. Pianississimo ppp - Very, very soft; the softest common dynamic marking. Forte f - Loud. Fortissimo ff - Very loud.
