Re: Problems with tuning
follow up question to PianoGuy - have you ever had concern with this green felt layer in the Zimmermen/Bechsteins that you have visited?) Its purpose is to stop those sections (dead lengths) of the strings resonating and interfering with the sound since they will resonate at the wrong pitches! It d...

Re: B.Squire 'Minx' Miniature piano
It's a very common instrument made by Kemble. Look up "Kemble Minx" instead.
"B Squire" was a Kemble brand name, related historically to the Squire family who ended up with a dealership of that name in Ealing. They had other branches in Beaconsfield and Gerrards Cross I think.

Not surprisingly, it was the Stroud Piano Co., who later changed their name to Bentley in 1966. Well before that surely? More like 1936? So basically its a year old from its refurbished state, done by the dealers Just be careful you don't advertise it saying 'fully' restored, because it probably isn't. Absolutely. There are very few dealers whose U1/3s are "Fully" restored, and these are very rarely restored by the dealer....

Try advertising it for what you paid. It's the right age to be saleable, and the cost to dealer has gone up since you bought. I reckon you'd get £2k for it (if it's mint) once you've been chipped by the punter.
