According to the serial number it was built somewhere between 1934 and 1937. I've never seen a Yamaha piano which was that old, so quality may be an issue. The best thing would be to get a technician to have a look at it before spending any money.

As a current equivalent I suggested the Yamaha DU1A, which is the most basic upright Disklavier (there are only 2 upright Disklavier models anyway). I'm not sure where an insurance company would stand on the idea of a different piano with an aftermarket system.

Yamaha in the UK guarantees electronic products, including the electronic parts of Silent Series and Disklavier pianos for 2 years, so this piano should be covered. For Warranty repairs, the customer has to contact the original dealer.
