According to the serial number it was built somewhere between 1934 and 1937. I've never seen a Yamaha piano which was that old, so quality may be an issue. The best thing would be to get a technician to have a look at it before spending any money.

As far as I know,you have to comply with whatever your neighbour says or risk having the piano confiscated. A digital piano or one with a silent system should get around the 'noise' problem
