The GM10 is the cheaper Indonesian-made one isn't it? The GE20 is the higher quality Japanese made one I think. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. I've read that the GE20 also has the carbon fibre action parts so you might want to read up on them but they should be fine and of course in theory...

Would buy piano at that price,has been in their showroom for about 4 years as they are no longer Kemble dealers,instrument will be tuned,regulated before delivery and will have a full warranty,they are not BOX Dealers unlike others and have been around roughly 40 years.

Congratulation Robert,the Grotrian-Steinweg range of pianos allude to quality have one of there 7foot 6 grands and their entry level upright,they improve with age, take a year or two to settle.

Grotrian-Steinweg are high quality pianos better built than Bechstein and still made in Germany to order,do take a couple to years to settle in new surroundings,super choice.

Hi,have you played a Steinway V or K model yet? as the Bechstein model 8 are roughly the same price if you want to send me a private message i tell you my experience with 2 of these pianos.Boston 126 and 132 are also super pianos at their price point.

Would go and buy a cheap piano from your local reputable dealer they give you a year warranty also deliver and tune and if you have a problems they should sort it for you.Nothings for free and free pianos are usually free cos nobody else wants it.

Would stick to the Kawai K15 or K2 and maybe try find an Essex 123 model to play, Bentley are OK but expensive and the U1 is used and probably had a hard life better sticking with a new piano from reputable makers shop and manufacturers warranties etc

On the subject of Yamaha's, there has been a lot of work conducted by a couple of companies who have developed a hybrid Yamaha. They replace the wrest plank and restring with German wire and Barney Unwin bass strings. Then the action has the beam rails replaced and Renner shanks and hammers fitted....

Would agree with mdw advice but as its a private sale my pitch would be £1500 if both in mint condition and get the most reputable local tuner to the pianos to check them over.You will have transport costs, tuning,and the check over fees to take in to account,its a buyers market.GOOD LUCK.
