Modernising music

Hi. I'm after a few suggestions to the following problem: I'm attempting to convince my Catholic Church to buy a electric piano (not convenient for a propper one). A Roland HP-3e which we're being given a pretty good offer for. However the price isn't the problem. The problem is the older members of...

Ok. silly question about piano stools.

Hello i've been wondering and been given varying advice on piano stools and have just about come to the conclusion that adjustable ones are better. If this is true or even if not since i have one now.....What the best hight to have them? ie is there a easy way of adjusting it to the right level........

Revitalising felts

Our church piano has a over damped sustain systemy thingy. And its in a work inefficient. The felts of the dampeners touch the strings only lightly and they dont stop the reverberation of the string of when the pedal or key is released. The flets themselves are still intact but look a bit tired. Is ...

*shrugs and sheepishly asks 'could the name possibly be anything to do with the piano dealer? was mentioned to me by my tuner before about how some old companies didn't put their name to the piano but the piano bore the name of the dealer insted?' *backs away slowly

Thomas Goodwin piano

Hi, i've been planning a concert in my local church and they have a piano bearing the name Thomas Goodwin, Manchester. I believe that as the piano has an overdammped system it is around 100 years old? And I've been told that in thoses times the piano dealer would put their name on the piano rather t...
