Not your run-of-the-mill teacher...
I've been having lessons with Phil for almost two years. He is unlike any piano teacher I've had before. He has a very enquiring mind and has put a great deal of thought into his teaching methods. He teaches real musicianship as opposed to 'playing by numbers', so that even at a lowly level you will be able to play in a way that sounds great. He is also very good at de-mystifying the complexities of music, so that you end up being able to play confidently things you never dreamed of being able to play. When I started having lessons with Phil it was to be my 'last stab' at learning the piano. Two years later I still feel very motivated, practise every day and look forward to my lessons.
