My name is Rob Elliott CT ABRSM, and I provide piano lessons in the Wootton Bassett and Swindon area. I have been playing the piano and singing for over 30 years - which I enjoy immensely!

I believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and experience the joy that it brings - not just for yourself, but for everyone else around you, too!

My students range from 7 years old, right up to much older adults - including those who have some experience of music and those who have just started to learn as a new skill (3 of my pupils are in their 60's and are all learning piano for the first time. It's never to late to learn and have this wonderful experience!).

Lessons are fun, informal, constructive and progressive.

ABRSM examiations can be undertaken, or you can learn just for pleasure. My aim will be to give you the best instruction in the most informative way possible.

Theoretical terms are taught alongside piano and singing lessons, to ensure that you are fully equipped.

At our first lesson, I will meet with you and discuss your needs and requirements, and devise a programme which will work for you or your child.

I teach from a music study in my own home, with piano lessons conducted on an excellent Yamaha upright Piano.

My own 3 daughters have enjoyed learning to play the piano on this instrument, too!

However, some lessons can be provided at your home, if practicable.

I am member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians, Member of the Association of British Choral Directors, member of the Swindon Music CO-Opererative, CRB checked, fully insured, and keep myself updated with the latest teaching techniques on courses and through further study.

Agreements for teaching are professionaly drawn up to give you peace of mind.

References from pupils, or parents of pupils can be provided.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me either via phone or email.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Rob.

Below are some helpful notes for you....

Our first meeting/Lesson will consist of:

•Getting to know you/ the pupil (have you played any instrument before/how long have you been studying music, music interests, other hobbies, and general details which can help me to decide various approaches to get the best out of lessons – and out of the pupil!!
•Finding out If you have done any music study previously and to establish the current level. Again, this will help me to adopt the right approach for the pupil.
•Start to Play, or sing! – the best way to start building a rapport between pupil and teacher.
•Any questions – your/your childs chance to ask any questions not covered here or on my website.

Can you teach anybody to play piano, or to sing..?

Virtually – Yes! If the pupil (and parents or guardians) gives enough focus and
