I teach piano and keyboards in a broad range of styles including pop, rock, soul, latin, jazz, blues & boogie - woogie, modern and classical. I have taught from the youngest beginners to professionals.

My way of teaching is 'Student led' - I tailor each students lessons to match their aims and abilities, discussing what you want to achieve when we start, and as you progress. From the start I also cover how the music you are playing is written, how to make your own tunes, and even how to improvise.

Exam grades can be taken if you wish, and studies can be dovetailed to fit with the GCSE music syllabus

Experienced students can also study advanced music theory, songwriting and composition as well as advanced jazz and improvisation.

Lessons are relaxed, informal and lively and take place at my home, in my modern computer based music studio, on the same electronic piano that I use professionally or on my acoustic piano. I can travel to students if the distance is short.
