I have been teaching piano, keyboard and organ for over 15 years in various environments - schools, music schools, churches and private homes. I graduated from St. Martin's College, Lancaster, in 2000 with a 2:1 BA Hons degree, music being my main subject and drama the secondary option. I trained in many different aspects of music tuition and worked with a wonderful team of teachers at Music For Families in Blackburn over a ten year period. I am now the organist and choir master at St Andrew's & Blessed George Haydock church in Cottam.

I take a fair and flexible approach to all aspects of my work. Ultimately I want people to enjoy music and learn at the pace which best suits them. If there is a natural talent or particular drive then of course I will encourage this. I host two concerts for my students each year, and am also working with the singer and voice coach Kelly Sharp to bring live music to as many people as possible! I also encourage the taking of theory and practical exams with the Associated Board. I teach to grade 8 level so far and anticipate my teaching level to increase over the next few years.
