Carol Hughes studied Piano, Clarinet, Composition and Electronic Music/Recording at Trinity College of Music, and now has over 25yrs experience teaching students of all ages. Should you wish to take exams in classical music styles, she will confidently prepare you according to the ABRSM grade syllabus. Aside from taking exams however, Carol firmly believes that playing an instrument should be primarily for enjoyment, to build confidence and personal satisfaction. She therefore encourages students to perform in concerts and festivals as and when opportunities arise. Theory of music is included in all instrument lessons or can be learned separately. Carol also offers coaching towards other certificates and awards such as GCSE Music and Duke of Edinburgh Award (skill). Carol is fully CRB checked. The first consultation is FREE.
Andrew Hughes is 18yrs old and is studying Music Technology at Bedford College. He has been learning drum-kit and percussion since the age of 6, playing regularly with a number of MK Music Service ensembles including Stantonbury Brass and Symphony Orchestra. During the last two years Andrew has progressed from percussionist with Brosely Development Band to being primary percussionist with MK Brass, a Championship Section Brass Band. More recently his experience has included playing with the worship team at New Life Church (north) and the newly formed local Rock group, 'See What Happens'. Andrew teaches drum-kit according to the Trinity Guildhall syllabus and prepares students for exams with 100% success. The first consultation is FREE.
