I have been teaching piano to adults and children since 1983 and take students from beginners to Grade 8 for piano and theory. The emphasis is on playing for enjoyment and developing confident musicianship as well as good playing technique. Playing from ear and improvisation are encouraged together with music reading skills. Exams are optional. I have some experience in teaching people with visual impairment and learning disabilities.

I have been teaching Piano, Theory and Singing since 2002 and Classroom Music since 2005. I have taught all ages, from 5 to 65 with great success. I can also tutor GCSE, IGCSE and Pre-U Music, having taught a wide range of syllabuses in schools.

I hold a Bachelor of Music (Voice and Piano) and Bachelor of Music Studies with First Class Honours from the Queensland Conservatorium and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Queensland. ...
