I have been teaching privately and in schools for over 7 years and teach students of all ages and abilities. With students who wish to take exams I teach to the ABRSM syllabus and my students' pass rate for ABRSM exams is 100%. I also prepare students for auditions, competitions and recitals, as well as those who just want to learn for fun.
I have performed as a soloist and chamber musician in venues such as the Queen Elizabeth Hall and King’s Place in London, the Richard Attenborough Centre in Leicester and Elgin Town Hall in Moray, Scotland, and have been awarded first prizes in music festivals throughout the UK. I was also a regional finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year, and recently performed on the soundtrack for the upcoming film ‘Tortoise in Love’.
As a solo pianist, I have participated in masterclasses with pianists such as Yonty Solomon, Angela Brownridge and Carole Presland. With my duo partners I have performed in masterclasses with Ian Brown, Ralph Kirshbaum, Julius Drake and Liwei Qin.
I studied piano with John Gough at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and accompaniment with Andrew West at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
