I achieved Grade 8 in the piano over eighteen months ago and whilst I have taught piano casually (all have been very satisfied and comment that they really enjoy the sessions whilst learning a lot!), I would like to expand this to help others get the same joy from the instrument I did and do.

I consider myself to be a lively, energetic person who is passionate about the piano which I consider highly important in order to motivate a pupil.

My approach to tutoring is without a doubt different for every tutee; I tailor the lessons towards the pupil as everyone learns differently. I like to focus on the fun and enjoyment of the piano in order to motivate. I am willing to take ideas from the pupils and the parents on how best to tackle the instrument.

I have taught adults as well as children, but have more experience with the latter. I have been involved in Classroom Support at my high school in which I helped pupils in lessons who were struggling. I have also done work experience at a local primary school. I have worked with children/young people often during sixth form when I organised activities for them such as a talent contest, demonstrating my abilities to work with such age groups.

I am an undergraduate studying History and Politics at the University of Warwick. I am patient, reliable and above all, very motivated!
