My name is Harry, I’m a scholar on the Masters course at the Royal College of Music, and am looking for new and enthusiastic students.

I’ve had much experience as a concert performer which influences my teaching methods. For nearly 10 years I have been teaching extensively from beginners to post grade 8 and diploma standard and have also taught a wide range of ages from young children to adults. Those who have chosen to take ABRSM exams have had a 100% merit/distinction rate.

I have studied and taken master-classes with some of the most distinguished teachers in Europe and was originally trained in the Russian school of piano technique. Since then I have been exposed to the European method of piano playing and have found through my experience in practice, teaching and performing, that the combination of sound control alongside durable technique can produce excellent results in concerts and competitions.

Lesson methodologies vary from person to person depending on both standard and abilities. I attempt to make all lessons enjoyable and interesting, whilst maintaining the constant progress that one needs to develop both musically and pianistically. My main aim as a teacher is to make each pupil self-aware as soon as possible of problems in their playing and teach them to be able to take responsibility for their work by finding musical solutions through careful listening.
