I teach the piano from my own home to children and adults (beginner to advanced level), also aural and theory. I also teach piano at my local school, and run a lunch-time recorder class.
I run practical music classes, following an aural-vocal (Kodáy) approach, for young children at the pre-school and pre-instrumental stage, and composition classes for my piano students.
Please see my website for more information on my practical approach to teaching piano and musicianship.
I belong to the European Piano Teachers Association and the Incorporated Society of Musicians. My pupils take part in performances and concerts in Cambridge with these organisations, and some enter an annual composition competition organised by EPTA. I hold my own pupils' concerts at Christmas and in the summer.
I have trained in the Kodáy approach and am a member of the British Kodáy Academy - see www.britishkodalyacademy,org. I lead workshops in Kodály practice for early years professionals, instrumental teachers and parents.
